Apple is planning a big comeback for the iPhone in 2027, when it will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic model’s first launch. Instead of continuing with the number 19, the company is expected to skip that number and launch the iPhone 20 directly, a move similar to what it did in 2017 with the iPhone X.
The iPhone 20 series is expected to bring a bold redesign, including a bezel-less display and sloping lines that will make the device look like a single piece of glass from the front.
Apple will continue to diversify its lineup by introducing Air and Pro models, as well as the iPhone Fold, in 2026.
In the first half of 2027, Apple will launch the standard iPhone 20 and the more affordable iPhone 18e, while the redesigned Pro, Air, and Fold 2 models are expected to be introduced at a special event in the fall.
